A NEW WALLHANGING

when i was rummaging this week through my cabinet i kept looking at certain color of fabrics...red, oranges, browns etc....gathered them all up and started cutting....
this is what i came up with....i have been looking for something to hang in my new bathroom...there is only 1 wall that needs something dramatic and i think this will do it....the wall colors are gold so it would blend well and the tile floor lends itself to an italian look as does the oval old world mirror over the vanity....in a way this reminds me of tapestry....maybe too much yellow though....now to get it quilted....hand quilt or machine???? more decisions lol

well it looks like rain here today...i didn't make it to the grocery store yesterday got sidetracked with the above wallhanging....this happens so often lol so today it figure out for sure what i am going to take to this reunion i have to go to sunday.....so glad its inside as the weather man says rain all through the week end now....Issac is going to make an appearance in the midwest and i suppose he will make quite a show...i think the farmers will look at this as too late for crops except maybe for soy beans...it could help them if there is not wind....time will tell....

i also quilted some fabric yesterday and made a small purse or bag....8x11  for my portable hexie sewing....i forgot to take a pic of it but will next time...maybe by then i might have another one made....more on this later....just took a couple hours to make so was a fun quick project..

about 2 years ago i started a big project bag to take along larger things even a cutting mat but that has been stored in the cabinet to finish....i think i got 1 side quilted i should get that back out and finish it before i have a quilt to take somewhere to quilt....instead of rushing around trying to finish something then....more on this later too....

well to the cookbooks to scour them for recipes and ideas....hope i find something really delish! ....more later...
