A LAZY SUNDAY

This morning before my feet hit the floor i had lots of ideas and plans for the day....well after 3 long cups of coffee and looking outside at the dull dreary rainy weather my plans and ideas diminished quickly....

I turned on the tv to see if there was something good to watch but unless i wanted cartoons forget it!...i shut it down and proceeded to work on my faithful buddy my gfg quilt lol....but now i am a little bored with it as i have worked on it a lot this week....

But i have a lot of other things i could be doing such as laundry...and will tackle that later on when i find some energy...and also i have these i want to wash up and put in my fabric cabinet...

Also yesterday i found a storage box, good size full of little scrap and strings....also in the box was the makings of about 10 crazy quilt blocks....grrrr i have seen so much scrap for the last 6 months i am not sure what to do with all of it...

Earlier this year i tried paper piecing string blocks again....in the past i have pieced string blocks without paper and i still like that better...guess i will never be a paper piecer...i waste too much fabric doing that...anyway here is what i have done....a few i made into potholders and gave them away.....these little blocks are 3 1/2 inches big...putting 4 together would make a 6 inch finished one....

maybe if i made them bigger i wouldn't mind working on them but right now they are DRIVING ME NUTS!...i just cant work on them very long....i looked through the box and found i saved some strips that was 1/2 inch wide....ok i threw them out...fabric is expensive but my sanity is important too....more on this subject later...i need to look for alternatives....

And grrrrr i have my sewing table messed up again....i should have never got  out those scraps lol...

i am not wanting to get too involved with much yet till i find out about my hand and toe....might have more doc trips to deal with for awhile.... so i wait and see for now....

And the rains came.....and too late i am afraid, the corn and bean crop is not looking good for this farming community....so most likely the local economy will suffer this next year when the grain bins are emptying too soon....and oh i hate to think of the grocery prices we all will bear especially the fresh stuff which i love and should have....oh well lots of other things to worry about today too....but going to keep sewing on my mind as much as possible.....more later.....
